FRANKLIN G. “BUDDY” HEGE, CCIM
Franklin G. “Buddy” Hege Jr., CCIM, joined Gibson Smith Realty Company in 2002. Mr. Hege has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1978, and earned Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Architecture degrees in 1983 from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. Buddy is a registered architect and a licensed Real Estate Broker in North and South Carolina.
In 1987, after practicing architecture in Denver, Colorado, for years, Buddy returned to the Carolinas on behalf of Dunhill Development to facilitate the construction of the Dunhill Hotel in Uptown Charlotte and other local development projects. Buddy continued his private architectural practice for over 10 years before committing to commercial real estate sales and leasing in 1999. He continues to utilize his architectural and space-planning skills to the benefit of his commercial realty clients.
In 2011, Buddy earned the coveted Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation conferred by the National CCIM Institute, a member affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS. A member of the North Carolina CCIM Chapter since 2001, Buddy is involved with numerous chapter activities and sits on the NC-CCIM Board of Directors. He has been recognized as a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club sponsored by the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of REALTORS, which annually recognizes top producing commercial real estate brokers throughout the Charlotte region.
Buddy’s real estate focus is commercial and residential land acquisition and disposition for local and national homebuilders, local and national developers, as well as private and institutional investors. Buddy perennially produces millions in sales on behalf of buyers and sellers, utilizing the latest technology tools, GIS-based search processes and seasoned negotiation skills to secure prominent A+ locations for his clients throughout the Carolinas.
